"Re: Austin Water Outages in District 6 and District 10 Catherine, Council Member Kelly, and Thomas, Austin Water's treatment plants are operating in a stable mode at this time, but we are facing significant challenges to restore water distribution throughout the system. The citywide boil water notice continues, and all customers are asked to boil water for drinking and cooking. Austin Water is working with the City's Emergency Operations Center to address the needs of critical customers, including hospitals and power plants. We do not have a timeline on when full service will be restored at this time. We know that some customers do not have water service and returning to service is our priority. Austin Water will provide additional updates as they become available. Thank you for your continued patience during this unprecedented event. To report a water or wastewater emergency, report a leak or main break, fill out the Leak Report Web Form at https://www.austintexas.gov/page/austin-water-issue-report-form Heather Cooke Acting Chief Administrative Officer City of Austin Austin Water, Office of the Director"
Austin Water has issued notice to certain neighborhoods (Southwest Austin and the Lost Creek neighborhood) to boil their water prior to consumption or use. Additionally, they have asked all Austin Water customers to please reduce water consumption overall. For more information, please see full article attached.
Due to continued inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, all AMLD facilities, including pools, gym, and main office will be closed Tuesday Feb. 16 and Wednesday Feb. 17, 2021. Please remain cautious of downed trees and fallen tree limbs near sidewalks, on trails, and near playgrounds. If you need assistance from District staff please email us at [email protected].
Please be extra cautious if venturing on AMLD parks and trails this weekend. We encourage all to avoid tree covered trails and sidewalks due to the high number of tree limbs that have fallen or may fall. Due to the persistent weather conditions and continued phone calls throughout the District parks for tree service, it may be a few days before downed tree limbs can be removed and dangerous limbs can be cleared from the parks and trails.
Due to continued inclement weather, all facilities including pools, gym, and the AMLD main office are closed today, Friday Feb. 12, 2021. Please continue to be cautious of downed trees, limbs, and power lines throughout the District. Please exercise caution if you decide to venture into AMLD parks, playgrounds, or trails at this time. If you need assistance, please email [email protected].
Due to weather conditions, the AMLD office will be closed this morning, with a possibility of remaining closed this afternoon. If you need any assistance, please email [email protected].
Due to the coming cold weather beginning Thursday (2/11/2021), there is a chance for pool closures as a result of the low temperatures. In the event that the temperature or wind chill drops to or below 34 Degrees Fahrenheit we will be closing the pool facilities until the temperature rises above that threshold for safety concerns. The gym facility will continue to be open expect for Sunday (2/14) and Monday (2/15). Temperatures are not expected to get above freezing for those two days and therefore are not expected to be open at all that day. We will be monitoring the temperatures carefully and pool opening and closures will be subject to change. Please call El Salido Pool at 512-250-8427 for up-to-date information.
Due to COVID-19, registration opening days have been postponed until March 15 for Residents and March 22 for Non-Residents, following the March Board of Directors meeting.
