Welcome to the Anderson Mill Limited District web site. Anderson Mill is a master planned community that was first developed in the mid 1970's. The developers had the foresight to use the unique drainage features of the land to create parks and greenbelts that spread throughout the area and act as green space that connects the neighborhood.
The land use included schools of all levels from elementary through high school within the boundaries of the District. The schools are part of the nationally acclaimed Round Rock Independent School District. Anderson Mill Elementary, Grisham Middle School and Westwood High School have all been named International Baccalaureate (IB) schools. The Anderson Mill neighborhood offers the most affordable housing that is included in the Westwood High School service area. See links to the area schools' web sites on the right.
Commercial property was kept to the edges of the neighborhood that provided basic shopping needs for the residents without encroaching on the residential areas. Highway 183 and State Highway 45 provide quick transportation to all the major employers in the Austin Metro area, as well as all area shopping malls.
Anderson Mill Limited District provides top quality parks, swimming pools and recreational programming. There are over 60 acres of parks, over 6 miles of hike & bike trails, two swimming pools that offer recreational and competitive aquatic programs year round, eight lighted tennis courts, a Community Center, as well as a Senior Activity Center. There are free Concerts in the Park, Movies in the Park and Movies at the Pool during the Summers. Our parks have sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, an outdoor racquetball court and a fitness center, all available at no cost or a very reasonable cost to our residents. One of our goals is to make Anderson Mill a place where Community matters!

What is Anderson Mill Limited District ?
The Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) with the City of Austin (COA) created the Anderson Mill Limited District upon the annexation of the Anderson Mill Municipal Utility District. The Limited District was then ratified by the voters of the district in an election held on May 9, 2009. The ratification also authorized the District to levy property taxes to carry out its responsibilities.
