The North West Austin Makos Swim Club provides opportunities for swimmers of all ages to extend their swimming skills and abilities and to further the development and education of swimmers through training, guidance, and competition.

MAKOS USA SWIMMING Year-Round Swim Club 1-
For ages 4 to adult
Practices are held Monday- Friday from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, Saturday 11:00am-12:00pm at
Anderson Mill pool, 10701 Schoolhouse Lane, Austin, TX 78750. A copy of each swimmer’s
birth certificate must accompany the registration form per swim season.
Fees: first swimmer - $75/per session, each additional swimmer (per family) $56/per session.
Additional fees include an annual USA swimming membership of $69 and a Makos registration fee of $65.

MAKOS USA SWIMMING Year-Round Swim Club 2- (Advanced)
For ages 7 to adult
Practices are held Monday- Friday from 6:30pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 12:00pm-2:00pm
at Anderson Mill Pool,10701 Schoolhouse Lane, Austin, TX 78750. Additional practices will
be held 7:00am-9:00am at El Salido Pool Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, and
Thursday on alternating weeks. A copy of each swimmer’s birth certificate must accompany
the registration form per swim season.
Fees: first swimmer - $125/session, each additional swimmer (per family) $75/per session. (Please see chart below for specific fees)
Additional fees include an annual USA swimming membership of $69 and a Makos registration
fee of $65.

Refund Policy

-All refunds will incur a $20 processing fee.

-The USA Swimming Fee is non-refundable.

-The Registration Fee is non-refundable.

Questions You May Ask?

What is the Registration Fee?

The registration fee of $65 is a once a year fee that goes toward expenses such as heating and utility costs, coaches pay at meets. This fee will not be pro-rated and goes from Sept. 1st through Aug. 31st.

What is the USA Swim Fee?

The USA Swimming fee is $69.00 paid to AMLD, to go to USA Swimming and goes from Sept. 1st through Aug. 31st. This fee is for the liability insurance for all swimmers. Swimmers are not allowed to practice without it. We must have a copy of each swimmer’s birth certificate to accompany a completed registration form for each first time registrants (see attached form).

What is the difference between Makos I and Makos II?

The Makos I is a beginner and intermediate level swimmers who wish to improve their speed, endurance and technique for all four competitive strokes.

The Makos II is an advanced level for serious competitive swimmers only. This class is an hour and a half long, so swimmers need to be prepared for that length and intensity of class. This class is for swimmers who attend swim meets. You cannot pay for the lower rate class and attend the later practice time. This class also holds additional practices being held from 7am-9am at El Salido Pool on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday and Thursday on alternating weeks.
You may move up the following month, upon instructor approval.
