Event Name: Geocaching Workshop
Location: Anderson Mill Community Center
Date:
Oct 6, 2012
Time:
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Geocaching is a popular activity that spans the globe. It is fun for the whole family and fun to do solo as well. Geocaching is like a modern day treasure hunt that utilizes technology such as computers coupled with hand held GPS units.
AMLD is glad to have Bob and Ryan Beltran, two avid Geocachers, back again to lead another workshop on Saturday Oct. 6th from 10am-12pm. Join us at the AMLD Community Center (11500 El Salido Parkway) to learn and discuss what Geocache is all about. This second Geocache workshop for AMLD will include a little bit more than just an introduction to Geocaching. Last year our first workshop searched for caches in El Salido Park. This workshop will introduce Geocaching, tell you about the Geocache community and if you are ready for some excitement will send you on your way to find some caches around town. People attending the event can exchange contact info and then communicate any caches found later that day to the other Geocachers that attended the workshop!
